Strategic Policy Committees

These committees have the task of assisting the local authority in the formulation, development and review of policy. The 5 SPC's in Waterford are:

1. Housing
2. Economic Development & Planning
3. Environmental Policy
4. Transportation and Infrastructural Policy
5. Community, Social and Cultural Development

Resident Associations

There are three electoral wards in the city. Two representatives will be elected from each of the electoral wards.

Social Inclusion

There are twelve sectors represented in the Social Inclusion Strand and there are nine representatives elected to sit on the Executive. The twelve sectors are:

1. Travellers
2. Women
3. Community Youth
4. Gay/Lesbian
5. Disability
6. Community Development
7. Unemployed
8. Drugs
9. Refugees/Asylum Seekers
10. Family & Childcare
11. Homeless
12. Elderly
