The development forum offers ameans of consultation and communication between the state sector and the community sector, which will result in local strategies that are responsive to the needs of the community and voluntary sector. Agencies throughout the city are encouraged to consult with the Community Forum when seeking input in relation to policies and initiatives.

The Community Forum provides a forum whereby community and voluntary groups have the opportunity to network, build linkages, consult and be consulted on a variety of topics relating to the future development of Waterford City. It also acts as a Forum for the sharing of common issues, ideas and interests.

The Community Forum now offers very competitive insurance to community and voluntary groups, this offer will help lower costs of pre-existing groups and remove frustrating barriers to the start up of new group initiatives.

How can I join?

The membership Community Forum is always growing and we invite any new groups to fill out our registration form which can be filled out and e-mailed to us. Membership to the Waterford City Community Forum is FREE!
